Cassper Nyovest loses 'mkhaba'
Casper Nyovest After Weight Lost
It seems the era of proudly showing off a round belly, known as an 'mkhaba' is surely coming to an end. Hot on the heels of SA music stars such as J'Something,K.O and Proverb ditching the shisanyama for a more refined diet consisting of fruits, vegetables and lean meat - Casper Nyovest, real name Refiloe Phoolo has followed suit. He has enjoyed a prominent year with hits such as Gusheshe which has been a hit in South African society. He said that losing abit of weight help him fit the stereo type of rappers being muscular.I believe that  Casper if the carries on in this fashion will not only be known nationally but globally as well because of his ever rising reputation on the hip hop scence

  2. But tell me how he really uses social media. Is he good at it or not? Does he have his publicist tweet on his behalf or what? And regarding the beef he had with Aka, I believe was just a way to get publicity. Another example of South Africa following in the foot steps of the USA.

    1. I believe that he does indeed excel in using social media because of his vast variety of followers, i do believe that he does tweet on his own behalf, however i do not agree with the beef being an attempt to gain publicity, but merely to of the best talents in our country clashing heads on the quest to being the best.

    2. I do not agree with your comment. It doesn't mean that you have many followers that you influential on social media. you must be able to drive awareness on whatever you post about. And I do believe that most fights in the public eye are for publicity reasons. ko.

    3. Again I disagree with you i feel that we need to be "open minded" when looking at this situation. These are the two major talents in South African hip hop in my "opinion" they are just standing in the way of each others success.

    4. In my "opinion" i think they just being childish. but lets agree to disagree.

    1. He is influential on social media because again of his vast variety of followers and his ability to communicate with them, which helps followers feel part of his everyday life.

    2. An influencer is a person who is well-connected and who is regarded as influential and in-the-know; someone who is looked to for advice, direction, knowledge and opinions. So by saying that he is influential just because of his following would be wrong.

    3. Thanks I appreciated your comments, but i think it is better that we agree to disagree.

  4. Yes Cassper did cause much of a stir when it came to his beef with AKA. But clearly that didn't get in the way of his career all that it shows us is that he definitely doesn't allow people to knock him down. Well done Cassper.

  7. From dropping out of high school to becoming a HipHop sensation. That show courage and determination. What he can do now, is obtain his matric like the jazz legend Sipho "Hotstix" Mabuse to show his fans that education is important.

  8. I agree , he should go back to school and at least obtain a Matric certificate to become a good role model to the youth.

  9. I do not think that he is the perfect role model because he dropped out of school and many kids look up to him but on the other hand he is also an inspiration because he went from nothing to a National sensation in a couple of years.
