Cassper Nyovest loses 'mkhaba'
Casper Nyovest After Weight Lost
It seems
the era of proudly showing off a round belly, known as an 'mkhaba' is surely
coming to an end. Hot on the heels of SA music stars such as J'Something,K.O
and Proverb ditching the shisanyamafor a more
refined diet consisting of fruits, vegetables and lean meat - Casper Nyovest,
real name Refiloe Phoolo has followed suit. He has enjoyed a prominent year
with hits such as Gusheshe which has been a hit in South African society. He
said that losing abit of weight help him fit the stereo type of rappers being
muscular.I believe
that Casper if the carries on in this fashion will not only be known
nationally but globally as well because of his ever rising reputation on the
hip hop scence
Using government money to build a mansion while
your country is struggling economically and the poverty rates are increasing, is
a very irresponsible move to make President Jacob Zuma.
President Zuma during parliament.
The citizens of this country have elected the
president to be a leader and bring about change in the current state that this
country is in. Instead of improving the economy or building schools or
providing proper health care for the rural places in this country, our
president decides to spend millions on a huge mansion. As if the
benefits that government leadership receives isn't already enough and highly
unnecessary, the president still feels the need to be in a more luxurious
environment while most of his people still live in shacks.
I personally think that he is taking advantage
of the position that he’s been given and is not fulfilling the duties that is
expected of him. Instead of improving the circumstances of the citizens of
South Africa, the president has managed to build an empire for himself that
allows him to live like a king while his people are hungry, uneducated,
homeless and hopeless. Bear in mind that these people are part of the reason
for where he is today.
South Africans should all stand together to
make sure that the money that was stolen from hardworking taxpayers, by the
‘leader’ himself, will be paid back in full. We are being bullied and treated
like idiots by our own government, a system that is meant to look out for us
and build us.
The Famous Nkandla House
If we allow these kinds of situations to happen in our country
without a fight, we should basically stop expecting corruption to end when the
biggest culprit is the person we call our president. If action is not taken
upon the president for this disgusting deed, I urge people to rethink whether
we’re living in democratic justice system or whether we’re lead to believe that
we are.South Africa stand up for yourself and see when
you’re being fooled!
The Nkandla report trended on twitter for quite some time. showing you that social media played a big ole in letting South Africans know what their President was up to.
Million Dollar Nkandla
The final costs of Nkandla are is a
staggering amount of R246 million, but is believed to be higher. The original
cost was R27 million, but this increased dramatically after Zuma’s private
architect worked on it., Minenhle Makhanya, was appointed by the department of
public works.
He often recommended more luxurious and expensive options instead
of going with the cheaper options and made R16.5 million (calculated as a
percentage of costs) from the Nkandla project. Zuma should of acted when the
Mail & Guardian blew the whistle in 2009 on the R65 million the project
cost at that time.
